For the Lafond family members, it’s important to produce high qualities apples. This goal is what inspired them to start their own business several years ago.
Mr Lafond called his product “Les Croquantes”, after hearing many customers praise the crunchy flesh and great taste of his apples. With this in mind, he assumed one of the criteria of a “good” is crunchiness!
A unique packaging
To each variety, its own color! “Les Croquantes” showcases its apples in colorful packaging, making it easy to choose according taste preferences (texture, acidity, sweetness). They are easily spotted at the grocery store too!
- Yellow package: Apples with a tangy (or sour) taste. A nice alternative to Granny Smith (also called green apples), known for their acid taste.
- Blue packaging: Apples with bold flavor. Ideal when you are looking for a juicy and savory snack!
- Fuchsia packaging: Apples with accented sweetness. Perfect for dessert recipes! Treat yourself to an amazing apple pie or apple crisp.
- Green packaging: Smaller fruits, for kids or small appetites. Called “Les Petites Croquantes”, it’s a healthy ready-to-serve snack to add in lunchboxes.
