Urban Picnik’s version of the Caesar salad

When the usual deceit reaction of: "Oh no, I forgot my lunch" turns into "Hurray! I forgot my lunch!” – It means someone has discovered Urban Picnic salads.

Formerly known as Ma Vitrine Bio, Urban Picnik is a Quebec-based company that offers salads on-the-go. Available at several retailers such as IGA, Metro and Couche-Tard, they come in handy on busy mornings or work weeks. In addition to being vegetarian and gluten free, they each contain a minimum of 15 grams of protein. All recipes including César, Soleil, Dragon, Milos and Maki were created by nutritionist Julie DesGroseilliers.

Who would have thought that tempeh bacon and chickpea croutons could make a 100% vegetarian and gluten-free Ceasar salad? Nothing is impossible! Perfect for busy days, with a high protein intake that is healthy, tasty and supportive.

Reuse the containers

Don’t get rid of their beautiful glass containers! They are made to be reused for your next lunch, maybe one of your own salads? It’s the perfect size and the waterproof lid is a no-spill guarantee.

How about some recipe inspiration? It’s possible to download an e-book including a 5-day healthy and balanced menu by Julie DesGroseilliers.
